DESCRIPTION:The 139th Durham Miners Gala will take place on Saturday 11 July 2026. The Gala is quite simply the world’s greatest celebration of community\, international solidarity and working class life. This unique and inspiring spectacle sees more than 200\,000 people pack the streets of Durham to enjoy the sights and sounds of ‘The Big Meeting’. People from across County Durham\, the country and internationally\, assemble in the city centre from early morning. For anyone on the left\, it’s an event that’s not to be missed and attending the Gala is an experience that is sure to live long in the memory.
